My major requirement in a romance book is that the book has to have a âdangerousâ male in it, one that is willing to do whatever it takes to get his woman, his way, etc. This book definitely meets that requirement. It sizzles and is on my keeper shelf.
At 17, Cathryn had fought Rule Jackson and lost. And then she fled to the anonymity of the city. Now Cat was back, sure of herself and her newfound independence, and ready to challenge Rule like never before. And she would win--because now she was his boss and she held all the cards. But Rule had raised the stakes, and if she lost again the penalty would be high. Reissue.
Good story except that I wish the heroine would be a little bit more mature in her behavior instead of constantly being ruled by self-doubt about the intentions of the hero. Still a good quick read.
Loved it and will read it again and again. Loved the story. Loved the characters. Loved the ending. I've been in love with cowboys since I was a child and this book didn't disappoint. Linda Howard has the best men in her books, and at my age, you take what you can get. Therefore, I read every Linda Howard book I can get my hands on. If you like strong women and hunky men, you'll love this one.
A little dated with references to Viet Nam, but still a strong Howard book.
A good early story by Linda Howard you're sure to enjoy.
As always, Linda Howard's stories are a great read.
A great book just as you expect from Linda Howard!
I love Linda Howard. She did not disappoint with this book about Cathryn Ashe and Rule Jackson.
Great book, easy to get into. Couldn't put it down until it was finished.
