Great book. It has different characters than the Stardoc series but is written the same easy to read style. It leaves you wanting more about these characters.

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this book as it was: 1) my first real sci-fi novel to be read and 2) the fact that it was the second installment of the Bio Rescue series and I hadn't even read the first or any of Viehl's novels. I can say that after paying attention to the given details or clues about the different species I immediately fell in love with the easy to understand story and the dramatic relationships of the entangling characters. I was hooked until the end and was quite pleased with the surprising ending. It wasn't overly sci-fi techy for me to understand and the characters were easy like, except for a few like the annoying antagonist. =P
I will defintely look forward to reading more of Viehl's novels and maybe even the series of paranormal romance. New author on my fave list, perhaps! =)

I really liked this book and the series is very promising. Burn is a fantastic guy and his strength of character is very much a turn on. The other side stories are also interesting. Emily is a human and Hkyrim is Omorr and there is a lot of bigotry towards humans to overcome. Also, Teresa and Dairatha have trouble when her former lover from earth shows up and he tries to make a killing machine with a brain to use in the war. Twp very interesting stories line to develop. Teresa is also going to "alterform" her human body.

This book is incredible. I love all of her writing but this book was very unique. The aliens are not humanoid and it makes for very interesting characters.
