Tremendously absorbing read, albeit terribly violent but then given the premise why wouldn't it be? This author really knows how to keep you turning pages into the wee hours. I can't wait for the next book; I am hoping the tantalizing question of what the Wave was and why it happened will be answered. I would recommend it, and its prequel Without Warning, but be warned, there is a lot of ugly, gory, violent content contained in it.
This was a very good follow-up to the book titled "Without Warning"
Intense action on several fronts, some of it quite ugly if you have a good reading imagination but probably not much worse than what can be found on TV or internet, mostly contained inside what used to be the USA, tied the characters from the first to this title well.
I was pleasantly surprised to read that there is supposed to be another with some of the same characters....probably the ones who survived? I plan to read same when/if I can find it.
If you have read or plan to read "Without Warning" you will want to read this one!
