I love the Laurie King series and this is just as interesting a take on how woman may have interacted with Sherlock Holmes and Watson. Great historical detail.
A good story. I am looking forward to reading others in the series.
Diva/Detective Irene Adler and her bridegroom, handsome barrister Godfrey Norton, are honeymooning in Paris when they become embroilded in an investigation: a drowned sailor's body has been recovered from the Seine, and on his chest is a tattoo. A tattoo like one Irene saw in London-on another sailor's chest, while the body lay upon Bram Stoker's dining room table.
Originally titled: Good Morning, Irene. The heroine is the only woman to outwit the great Sherlock Holmes in the ACD novels. A wonderful mystery that takes place in the late 19th century.
Reissue - name change of title
