A great fun read, suitable for de-stressing with. His style is conversational and chatty. You'll learn a lot about how movies are made, and a lot about how to write -- he specifically meant it for how to write screenplays, but I found his advice useful for other kinds of fiction, too.

A lot of trends he spotted in 1983 as worrying and new are now full-blown in Hollywood's behavior, and his take on them is fascinating.
