This book tells the story of a year in a Texas high school. The technique is very difficult to pull off, since different chapters are written from the viewpoint of different teachers and the principal of the school. This switches between SIX different characters, and if I had known that at the beginning, I would have been put off. But the author manages this so well that I could not put the book down and read it in one sitting!
