Not sure I will make things in here. Some were too complicated, and the tomato based ones have you using canned tomatoes. I was looking for a way to use fresh tomatoes. The complicated ones would have you buy fish sauce, and all these wine vinegars, and sherry, and hoisin sauce, and special chilis. Those interested me most but would have to buy all the special things.

It does cover some desert syrups sauces. I found those unique, but due to my food plan, not going to make those either.

I did like that it also explains some very basic sauces like Gravy.

The format of this book, starts with a section with why this recipe works. An excellent format. The books is easy to read and understand, and use if you find a recipe you like. I want to also add that didn't find that the sauces would ruin any eating plan. It was more about adding flavor than fat or calories. But don't be fooled you are adding some calories to you meal, but I am sure the flavor is worth it.

Overall I would suggest you borrow the book from the library because you may not use the recipes all that much, you also would have a very hard time finding the sauces recipes on the internet, as you would have to wade through so many recipe links.
