My husband has been reading many of the Dekker books, over a 4 year period.
This was his latest read. He has enjoyed most of the Dekker books but felt this dealt too close to the darkside to be a favorite. Be careful while reading books published by Christian Publishing houses that "cross the line" into mysticism, exorcism and the forces of evil.
Scripture is quoted on the flyleaf -- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...as quoted by John the Apostle John 10:10
Heed the caution from the Word of God!

I have read many books by Ted Dekker and this is one of my favorites. Great suspense and very thought-provoking.

One of Ted Deckers better thrillers. From page one when agent Clark is tracking serial killers to the end, it was hard to find a page to stop to do my work in the house. All of Mr Deckers books are fun reads and this was no exception.

This is my favorite of all of Ted Dekkers books. I couldn't put it down.
What starts out as a pretty good thriller about the search for a serial killer morphs in the last quarter to a supernatural gorefest with an ending that makes no sense whatsoever.
I have absolutely loved every Ted Dekker book I have ever read, but didn't care for this one. It was a little too dark for me.
Very suspenseful. Mixed feelings on ending.
great book kept you on the edge of your seat
I have been rather let down by several of Ted Dekkers books, But I have to say, I could not put this one down!!!
Spell binding and mysterious it horrifies the reader with the possibilities of their own mind. Do NOT expect to get anything done once beginning to read this book it sucks you in and refuses to let you go until the final page.
This was the first book I have read by Ted Dekker. I was very excited to read it because the premise seemed very interesting. And the book was very good and compelling and I was enjoying it, until I got about three-fourths of the way through it. It turned completely ridiculous and I honestly am not sure who okayed this book or why, because it was an excellent example of poor writing and plot-handling.
Ted Dekker is an amazing writer, but this one was not one of my favorites. I still commend this book though to anyone who is a fan of the supernatural thrillers!
This book has got to be one if not the best book Ted Dekker has written. I could not sleep at night after reading this. I could not lay it down and caught my interest from page 1 to the end. It makes you sit back and really think about the real meaning of evil.
Chilling and dark, this thriller is a genuine page-turner; I kept reading "one more chapter" for hours after I'd intended to stop. It's all a bit implausible, but the runaway freight train pacing keeps you suspending disbelief and reading on compulsively.
If you enjoy Ted Dekker and his style of writing this book will keeping you turning pages.
Very good book. Good vs Evil in a modern day setting. Centers around a serial killer. The end is different-but author gives some clues along the way. Fast read.
A huge thrill ride.
This was a interesting look at demonic possesion. Mr. Dekker has a very clever way of story-telling. It was an engaging read.
This book is by far my favorite by Ted dekker. I could not put it down. I have read most of Ted's books, but this one captured me from the first page and by the end it gave me something to really think about. Satan is doing his best to destroy. what a page turner!
A pretty good supernatural book.
Ted Dekker is the Christian writer like Stephen King. STRANGE
