This author's approach to the issue of this book is to do something out of the act of love, from the heart, with no regrets. The basic of this book is to set out to have a strong willingness to accomplish something important no matter what the cercumstances. Christina wanted to become a landscape artist, but her mother was terribly ill from working so hard as a nurse trying to put Christina through art school, so Christina decided after graduation to become a garment designer instead, but envolving her painting into her designs, and to repay her mother all that she had done for her. Audra had disaproved because she wanted to help her daughter without being repayed, but later reconsidered her feelings for her daughter's decision. Christina became a famous garment designer. Christina's daughter didn't want to be a garment designer to carry on her mother's dream. She wanted to become a landscape artist and just paint landscapes like her mother did and her grandfather. There was compromise between mother and daughter, and Christina let her daugher go to art college and when Kyle was ready to to carry on the business when she was ready. The story was very impressive and a re read for sure. The author's mood to this story was sad, hurt, happy, and the story was moving. The aspects the author emphasize are set out what your heart tells you to do and make the very best of it. The conclusion the author makes is live life to the best of your ability, set out what your intentions in life are and be happy.

Barbara Taylor Bradford, who has earned herself a place in the hearts of millions with her phenomenal bestsellers A Woman of Substance, Hold the Dream, and To Be the Best, now brings us the equally enthralling and truly masterful story of three generations of women...and the choices they make.

Audra's story, begun in 1926 England, is one of struggle. After the great passion of her marriage is replaced by tragedy, she vows to give her precious daughter Christina the world. Repaying the benefits of her mother's iron-willed promise, Christina rises to the top of the fashion industry as the head of her own business empire in New York. But in the most fateful decision of her life, she sacrifices her real dream in the name of love. With her daughter Kyle, the story comes full circle. Will her mother's dream be Kyle's own? Or will she tear the family apart with a single, momentous decision of her own?

As powerful and personal a tale as any Barbara Taylor Bradford has ever written, this is a wonderfully involving and sweeping novel of three remarkable women, each committing an act of will that will define their lives forever.

In another well-written novel Bradford deals with the often-troubled lives of three generations of strong-willed women. Artistically talented orphan Audra Kenton leaves nursing to serve as nanny to precocious Theo Bell. Soon she meets and weds handsome Vincent Crowther, and they begin a long but unstable life together. Obsessively determined to give her daughter the best art education possible, Audra toils long and hard only to see Christina forsake painting for haute couture as a way to repay her mother's untiring sacrifice. At length Christina must allow her own headstrong daughter, Kyle, to determine the direction her own life will follow.
