After what lias been written, there can be little necessity to inform my readers, that the Birmans bre Hindoos : not votaries of Brahma, but sectaries of Boodh, which latter is admitted by Hindoos of fell descriptions to be the ninth Atavar, or de- Bcent of the Deity in his capacity of preserver.
