This novella is the prequel to Robert Dugoni's Tracy Crosswhite series. Tracy quits her job as a high school Chemistry teacher and joins the Seattle Police Academy. She is driven to become a detective after her younger sister disappeared several years ago. Her body was never found. But before doing this, Tracy must make her way through the rigors of police training and go up against the male-chauvinist attitude of her training instructor, Detective Johnny Nolasco.
This is a nice peak into the Tracy Crosswhite series. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am ready to jump into the series. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
