I just finished Absolutely Positively by: Jayne Ann Krentz a few minutes ago. I really enjoyed this book... I don't know if I've ever read one where the h/h just trusted each other and built their relationship in such a straight forward way. I don't want anyone to misunderstand - This book wasn't in any way boring. It had great character development and the plot was non-stop gripping. A perfect book for when you're "darked out". That's the phrase I use for my state when I've read my quota of dark, heavy books and need something to relieve the tension.
That said, this is a romantic suspense with a murder attempt and paranormal elements. It isn't a comedy at all, although there was a normal amount of humorous dialog. Just like you would have with a friend you could kid around with. A few giggles. This book did NOT wrench my heart out and toss it in the food processor.
I'm trying to give a feel for the book without telling about the story. I'm not about to give anything away because one thing I loved about this book is the way I was fed little bits at a time. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm concerned this description makes the book sound boring. It isn't at all.
Wow, was that vague enough for everyone? Read the book. It's really good.

I honestly can't remember too much about this book other then the irritating use of the title throughout the book. Do I think this book stunk? Absolutely, Positively.

A short, delightful romantic comedy. I LOVED the heroine in this - spunky and funny. Of course, I love Krentz.

Harry was a bit on the dumb side for being a genius, and Molly was a total know-it-all. Even with those flaws, I loved this book! I had a hard time putting it down. JAK is a little kooky with some of her ideas, but her reads are ususally fun. 4 1/2 stars.
Its a Jayne Ann Krentz book. Same formula, but with different names.
Quirky, fun characters and an entertaining plot line. Enjoyable read.
This is an attempt to write a paranormal.yet not a , paranormal story. It almost makes it's
goal.
goal.
Funny and fast moving. Just right for light entertainment. It's a keeper on my shelf and reread periodically.
Molly Abberwick owns a tea and spice shop, enjoying her life in Seattle until her father dies and leaves her in charge of his Foundation to help budding inventors. She is now facing a problem. The problem is Dr. Harry Stratton Trevelyn, who is the 'debunker' of fake inventions. He vets the applicants before Molly passes out the money grants. Molly gets very enthusiastic about all sorts of inventions, only to have Harry shoot them down time after time. So far, he has not approved one single invention. Harry has his own problems. He is caught between the two sides of his family - the very rich socialite Stratton side and his carnival side Trevelyns. Harry is very rich, so the carnival family is always asking him for this and that, with both sides keeping a constant tug of war on Harry. This emotional battlefield has caused Harry to be very self contained, maybe too controlled. The one place his control is let loose is in the bedroom. Also around to cause him headaches is his ex-fiancé, a psychiatrist who thinks Harry might be slightly insane and is trying to warn Molly from to not get involved with him. The final mix to Harry's problem is his is psychic and does not want to admit it. Having been raised in a carnival part-time, he has seen this used as a game, so he does not like to let people know about it. As Molly slowly gets involved with Harry and the whole cast of his family, someone starts to play dangerous pranks on her, and it is quickly evident someone wants her dead.
Molly Abberwick, trustee of her late father's foundation, becomes the victim of a stalker, whose pranks are spiralling out of control.
Molly Abberwick, trustee of her late father's foundation, is furious with her new consultant, scientist-philosopher Dr. Harry Stratton Trevelyan. But she's got bigger problems: a stalker, and sinister pranks...and only Harry takes her seriously. I loved these characters! They are odd and funny and sometimes outrageous, and I enjoyed every minute in their company!
Another "Jayne Ann Krentz" book that I didn't want to put down until I was done reading it!
Absolutely positively a great book.
Molly, trustee of her late father's foundation hires a new consultant and they have a few difference of opinion. In addition someone is doing sinister pranks that are becoming violent.
Molly Abberwick is being stalked. Pranks turn into violence. The only person she can turn to is Dr. Harry who insists on a scientific experiment, an affair with Molly.
Molly Abberwick is frustrated with the consultant she hired to approve grants through her late father's foundation. Dr. Harry Stratton Trevelyn has read hundreds of proposals and has rejected every one. Molly finds him impossible to work with, except for the fact that he is brilliant, sexy, and has asked her on a date. Harry has his own problems. He is caught between the two sides of his family...trying to keep the family feud from getting out of control. As Molly and Harry get to know each other better, Molly becomes the target of a stalker. It's up to Harry to figure out what is going on before things get violent.
This is a contemporary romance that has Krentz' usual hero and heroine with their wacky family members. I had a hard time warming up to the characters and was bored with the story. It was very slow paced. My rating: 2 Stars.

Molly Abberwick, trustee of her late father's foundation, is furious with her new consultant, scientist-philosopher Dr. Harry Stratton Trevelyan.
Harry is brilliant, sexy, and absolutely impossible...and his outrageous suggestion of a scientifically inspired affair with her is positively the last straw. But Molly's got a much bigger problem: she's become the target of a stalker whose sinister pranks are spiraling out of control - and only Harry seems to take the threat to her life seriously. As a dangerous predator closes in on Molly, the enigmatic Dr. Harry seizes the day to reveal himself in a totally unexpected light. Now, their risky union is one experiment that had better turn out exactly right - their lives are depending on it!

Great characters, set in contemp Seattle and environs. Responsible, hardworking Molly is the trustee of her quirky inventor Dad's foundation. She hires brilliant, sexy, impossible Harry, PhD,to weed out phony applicants interested in scamming money from her Dad's foundation. Logic and a sixth sense help unravel a deadly stalker's plans as Molly and Harry trade secrets. Fun.
