I picked this book up for a vacation read, and loved it. I would recommend it to anyone. The true measure of a good book is when you dread getting to the last page, because you never want it to end. I found myself reading slower then I normally do, in order to prolong the experience.

The Abduction is about one man's journey to get his granddaughter back after she has been kidnapped. Along the way secrets are revealed, and relationships are strengthened.

Remarkably good read. Suspenseful, it keeps you in the edge of your seat. I can't wait to go back and read his first book.

Story about a family's response to the abduction of their 10 year old girl.
Her grandfather Ben lives in the N. Mexico wilderness where he battles old memories of Viet Nam & his estranged son John who is an Internet geek turned billionaire.
Author Mark Gimenez writes a terrifying child in jeopardy thriller in which dark family secrets make the finding of the girl more uncertain with every passing minute. The book has many twists and turns, and is very well written. I've added this author to my favorites list!

One of the best from Gimenez. A tangled plot that keeps you guessing until the final chapters. Rather graphic in some spots but probably historically correct. Fast paced and hard to put down.

Distinctive characters who are not believable in the slightest. And a cliched plot. I will therefore not read another book by this author!

This is the second book I have read by Mark Gimenez. I really could not put this book down. The mixer of the characters was extremely realistic. The plot had me intrigued, I usually can figure out mysteries, but this book had me rushing to see how the story ended. Gimenez is an excellent writer and I will look for more of his books.

I knew I would like this, I loved his first novel, and it did not disappoint. So many twists and turns, it's never what you expect. The author's grasp of geek-speak is great as well as the whole story.

couldn't get into this one, too much repeat in just the first 100 pages, characters you can't like--a geeky Dad that acts more like a coward and a Mom that acts more like a shrew but the Grandpa is a hero and would be a more likable character even with his 'ghosts' he carries around, but I quit after a little over 100 pages because I just kept waiting and waiting for it to move on and I just lost interest
