Abby Brannon has had a crush on Noah Blake since high school. So when he walks into the Carolina Diner after an absence of fifteen years, she's ready to seize the chance for a real relationship...and the adventure which always accompanied him. Noah has secrets, however, and a past that makes him bad news for a good girl like Abby. Though a few of their high school friends stand by Abby in welcoming Noah back, most of the folks in New Skye keep their distance. They know trouble when it lands on their doorstep.
Not one to take no for an answer, Abby goes after what she wants--Noah, the boy she longed for with all her young heart. In the process, she learns the truth about Noah the man, and about herself. Through the love Abby offers, Noah discovers the power of forgiveness.
And, together, they affirm the importance of a place called Home.

This book was too disjointed to follow the plot. Noah Blake has returned to his hometown after 15 years and 2 in prison for manslaughter. All the former popular gang in high school take him under their wings, giving him a job in a security business, a place to stay, etc. The rest of the townspeople make scathing remarks to him and about him. The heroine has been in love with him since high school and practically throws herself at him. The love scene is so fast it isn't worth it. He rides a Harley throughout the book (even in the last scene leaving their wedding in a snowfall! Anyone ever try to ride a motorcycle in the snow??)Not an especially good read, in my opinion.
