The only thing you need to pass the tech test! Please be very careful because the current question pool expires in July 2010. If you don't think you can finish studying by then I would recommend waiting until the updated version comes out. I self studied for two months with this book and passed my test with flying colors. Even if you don't plan on becoming a ham anytime soon its still a great introduction to electronics.
