I sooooo looked forward to this book b/c I was an avid note-passer myself. It's photocopies of actual notes he sent and received and many were difficult/ annoying to read.
No linear presentation of notes so you had no real stake in any of his "relationships". Would have loved a "Where Are They Now" section.
Glad I got it here for free. Read it in less than an hour and reposted.

Quick read. Brings me back to my middle school days of passing notes and falling in and out of love quickly.

I had high expectations for this book, especially because I so vividly remember the notes that I used to write to friends, going on and on for pages about absolutely nothing, and then folded so carefully.
Then, seeing this book with notes that were sometimes impossible to read and pointless...that was pretty disappointing. I suppose some of these notes really only mean something to you if you're the one involved. Some of them I could relate to, but most I couldn't. I didn't really think this was worth my time.

actual photocopied notes to/from one jr. high boy. yes it is a quick read. yes, once it is read there is not much to hold on to. however... that is the beauty of the passed note. read it, reminisce, show it to a friend, and post it. just like those notes you threw across the room years ago.
