First there was 2001, Then 2010 the mission to jupiter, then there was 2061 the third mission...Yes there is a fourth mission 3001. This review is about 2061. In 2061 Heywood Floyd the only survivor of the two previous missions returns to once again confront Dave Bowman, or what ever Dave has become, and a newly independent HAL, along with the power of an alien race that has decided Humanity is to play a place in the evolution of the galaxy whether it wishes to or not.
