I've added my last book to our 2024 challenge.  I didnt read as many cozies this year but close.  I think reading the books for the quarterly reading challenges pull me away from my cozies....

I agree, Lynn, reading for the quarterly challenges seems to mean I read fewer cozies. Or I just didn't read as many. I used to make a goal of four in each category, and either make it or come close, but this year around October it was clear I wasn't going to make it so I switched to 3 in each category and moved some around, but I think I was still 5 books short. But a fresh start at midnight tonight!

Margaret, I've usually made my goal 5 in each category.  It's going to be 3 in each category for 2025.   If I exceed, I'll raise my goal this coming year.

I'm honestly going to try to not concentrate on the quarterly reading challenge as much and try to read more just for the sake of reading....I don't know how many years I have to read.

Lynn, on the quarterly challenges I start by reading what I want to read or what got picked for me to send in a swap, and it usually works out that it fits in the challenge somehow, and then toward the end I might get a book at the library to fit a missing category and often that turns out to be a good book that I would not otherwise have read. But this current challenge is during the busy part of tax season (not yet, but it gets busy as soon as people get their forms, so February) so I'm not sure how much I'll read after this first month!
