I made my goal with 77 books total and it's only December 22! Woo-hoo! Will start my new book list 2013 next week.

Trying to read "Hellhound On His Trail" but Christmas shopping keeps getting in the way! Andersonville was a quick read, though. Got to make my 75 book goal-it's the last month!

Still reading "Delivered from Evil...-it's a huge book!

Finished F5 didn't really hold my interest except for the fact that there were 148 tornadoes spotted in 2 days in April 1974!

Comment added 11/6/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Reading "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks"-it's great. Just finished listening to "The Messenger". It was OK,but not really my favorite genre (suspense novel about hunting down terrorists)

Comment added 10/30/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Readine "Delivered From Evil-A History of WWII" a few pages at a time-the book has 1,024 pages!

Just started reading The Zookeeper's Wife and can't put it down! The other book I started last week F% about a tornado outbreak in 1974 is slower going. The Titanic book (882 1/2 Amazing Answers..) was a quick and interesting read.

The e-book "The six O'clock Rule" was very good, fast-paced police drama, which is not usually the kind of book I read.

Finished Michael Creighton's book "The Terminal Man" in 2 days. Pretty good but was dated (copyright 1971); about brain surgery to implant a computer to control seizures but caused the patient to become violent.

Comment added 9/12/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Reading the book "Which President Killed A Man?" a book of Presidential trivia. Also listening to the audio CD "Saving the World" and reading an e-book "The Six O'Clock Rule"

A Doctor at War is a biography of a British medical doctor in WWII and how he saved countless lives by establishing front-line medical care in the face of great danger. Many times he narrowly escaped death. Great book.

Also reading Billy Boyle-A WWII mystery. Good book-keeping me guessing

Started listening to Loving Frank. It's about the women in Frank Lloyd Wright's life.

No One Would Listen is an eye-opener of a book.It really illustrated how a whistleblower went upagainst a govt agency to try and bring down a major swindler and wasnt listened to

I wish I could list the free Kindle books I read on my iPod. Some are not listed in Paperback swap like "Twenty miles per cookie-9000 miles of kid-powered adventures" which was great

Starting a book I've had on my shelf for awhile "The Best Time Travel Stories of All Time". It is on someone's wish list so will read and pass along.

Caught in the Web was an eye-opener of a book. It's just sickening how pervasive child pornography is on the web and how victims are victimized forever because the web images are never erased even though the perverts are caught and punished.

Found a new favorite author-Michael Dobbs. I just finished reading Winston's War, a 693 page historical novel about Winston Churchill before he was named Prime Minister of England during WWII.

Comment added 3/18/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Just read a Erle Stanley Gardner book "Perry Mason solves the case of the Bigamous Spouse" I remember in high school reading a million of his books one after the other. Didn't realize how sexist they were until I re-read one!

Comment added 3/12/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Just finished The Hobbit which was a popular book when I was in high school. I was not into fantasy at that time. Glad I finally read it. Now I will have to rent Lord of the Rings which I've never seen either.

Comment added 3/12/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Seems like I've been reading/listening to more non-fiction this year (9 out of 14 books)

Comment added 2/17/12 by Mary S. (mscottcgp) - , :
Never read The Diary of A Young Girl when I was in school. Reading it after I've read The Book Thief is causing me to compare the horrors of war in the lives of Germans during this period to the lives of Jews in hiding.

Have written 3 more reviews so far, Trying to remember the list the books I've read on my iPod touch-have gotten a lot of free Kindle books from Amazon.

My organizing is done and I posted 18 books that I thought I had already posted! Just sent out 12 books this week! Awesome! One of my resolutions this year is to write more reviews on my posted books-will try to do 1 each time I log on to Paperbackswap.

Now that my beautiful built-in bookshelves are done, I am organizing my books by fiction/nonfiction,and trying to read unread books that I've had for awhile.

Just because my first book this year is true crime doesn't mean that my taste in literature has gone south (LOL). I feel the need to read a trashy book once in awhile just like I feel like eating junk food sometimes. My goal is to read 90 books in 2012.
