Book #10 in the Cedar Cove series. I have enjoyed this series, but you do really need to read them in order to get the full effect of the storylines and understanding of all the characters. You really get to know the characters because their stories are so intertwined.

Wonderful series - you really don't need to begin with the first book, 16 Lighthouse Road, which is the first in Debbie's Cedar Cove series of books. Each book fills the reader in with all what has happened previously.

I have read each one in this series except the last one, which I am anxiously awaiting to read. I'm in the middle of 1105 Yakima Street.

Highly recommend this series and any of Debbie's books.

This is book number 10 in the Cedar Cove series. The main story line follows Mary Jo and Mack's developing relationship, as well as the discovery of the World War II letters Mary Jo found in the duplex under the floorboards.

Lori Bellamy Wyse and Linc Bellamy are now married and dealing with Lori's disapproving father.

Will Jefferson is still trying to win over Shirley Bliss and her daughter Tanni is moving on without her boyfriend, Shaw, who has moved to California to attend art school.

Teri & Bobby Polgar now have boy triplets. Teri's sister Christie still cannot forgive James for lying to her.

Grace Harding is overseeing a program at the library called 'Reading With Rover' where children read to dogs with the help of an adult. Tanni Bliss is one of the volunteers, btu is not so fond of another volunteer that she attends high school with.

Rachel and Bruce Peyton have adjusted to married life well, but Bruce's daughter Jolene is making Rachel's life a living hell. Bruce and Jolene are unaware that Rachel is pregnant and she is very scared about letting them in on this news because they had promised Jolene to wait on having a baby.

Gloria Ashton is mulling over how she feels about Chad Timmons when faced with the fact that he may leave Cedar Cove.

There is a lot going on throughout this book, which made it a quick and interesting read. Only two more books to go until I finish reading this series. It is kind of bittersweet.

Great story. A simple read about relationships, but she keeps them fresh and
interesting. I am anxious for the next one! Sept 2011.

Well written, enjoyable, quick read. I devoured it and then passed it on to a friend who will read it and then pass it on to other ladies in her church affiliated retirement home.

There were way too many characters and story lines going on at once - I got confused on this one.

Debbie Macomber has written another compelling book based on the town of Cedar Cove. The book is full of stories that intertwine about the various characters and their ups and downs, success in love, and at times failures. This particular book revolves around some love letters and a diary that are found dating from WWII by Mary Jo and Mac, and the search for the author of the letters. If you have not read prior Cedar Cove books, the author will of course refresh your mind about the characters, who continue from prior books, but unlike some authors, does not make this the main filler of the new book.

What I love about this book, as well as her other books, is that her characters are so believable and human. They are like people you know quite well, and she gives little everyday sort of details that really make you feel as if you are there and can see it all unfold. For example, where they sit in a restaurant and what they order. Her characters are artists, gallery owners, judges, newspaper reporters, grandmothers, ranchers, firemen, and more. Macomber is also quite good at not making mistakes as some authors do, when carrying a rather large cast of characters and their characteristics over from book to book.

The only complaint that I have is that she left several characters in cliff-hangers, and the next book will not be out until Sept. 2011. It will be a long wait, since I cannot wait to see how the story unfolds.

Another wonderful and delightful read in the series about Cabot Cove and all the memorable characters! Each book seems to get better!

seems to be the final book in the Cedar Cove series...enjoyed how endings were kind of tie up...but could possibly leave enough questions for a revisit sometime in the future...love all Debbie's books!

Dear Reader, Guess what? I'm falling in love! With Mack McAfee. My baby daughter, Noelle, and I have been living next door to Mack since the spring. I'm still a little wary about our relationship, because I haven't always made good decisions when it comes to men. My baby's father, David Rhodes, is testament to that. I9;m so worried he might sue for custody.

In the meantime, the World War II letters I found are a wonderful distraction. Both Mack and I are trying to learn what happened to the soldier who wrote them and the woman he loved.

Come by sometime for a glass of iced tea and I'll show you the letters. Plus I'll tell you the latest about Grace and Olivia, my brother Linc and his wife, Lori (who tied the knot about five minutes after they met!), and all our other mutual friends. Oh, and maybe Mack can join usMary jo Wyse. This is a great read.
