I love where the author was going with the premise of this book, but feel slightly deceived by the title because he's married and did not account for their furniture, appliances, pots and pans, bowls, dishes, silverware, towels, bed linens, etc... I do have to say it would be very challenging to maintain a home and keep within a 100 thing limit. If you are interested in pursuing a more simplistic lifestyle, I highly recommend "The Joy Of Less" by Francine Jay.

He has a wonderful prose that keeps you reading the whole way through. It doesn't ever rely on "Look at me! I'm super cool!", but rather begins with the first half of the book being the "why" of the 100 Thing Challenge through anecdotes, and pretty accessible and thoughtful discussion. Highly recommend.

What a great concept and great book! While I don't plan on embarking on the Challenge I do think it's a great idea. The book explains the rules for the challenge, why the author decided to take on this project and what he learned through the process.
A quick, easy, read. One that makes you think and leaves a lasting impression.
I'd definitely recommend it.
