Over 700 pages!!! Besides an index, there are 9 Sections:
*Soils and Fertilizers
*Planning and Landscaping
*Ornamental Plants and Their Culture
*Trees, Shrubs, and Vines
*Bulbs, Tubers, and Corms
*Roses
*Perennials
*Annuals and Biennials
*Lawns and Turf Areas
This is a great gardening reference book to have on hand; even though it's "old". Good gardening information never seems to go out of style!
Even long-time gardeners will learn something from this book!

Excellent reference with everything you ever wanted to know about gardens. This is the 1974 edition/hard cover with a solid bound cover but the information is excellent for any level gardener! Highly recommend it! There are two volumes of this edition!

This claims to be Volume 1, I tried counting the questions, but didn't get very far. It does appear that this volume has only 9 of the 16 divisions, it includes Soils and Fertilizing, Planning and Landscaping, Ornamental Plants, Trees Shrubs and Vines, Bulbs Tubers and Corms, Roses, Perennials, Annuals and Bienniels, and Lawns and Turf Areas. 1974 is the 3rd edition, originally published in 1944.
