This book significantly increased my understanding of Norse mythology. Man has always wanted to gather knowledge of the beginning of the world. The Norse were no different. They had a rich mythology to explain things they could not understand. I'm not familiar with any other mythology having nine realms (however, I'm no authority on myths).

Myths seem, to me, to be a complex riddle of gods, goddesses, and other beings. However, the author of this book takes the time to explain each being and their marriage partners and their children. Not being a comic book or video game fan, these were all new to me. However, the author wove the stories so well that I came away with a much better understanding of Norse myths.
