This is an old 1938 Version. It is a novel of cattle rustlers. From the day Tom Mc Cloud began ranching in Baja California he was plagued by rustlers stealing his cattle from far flung herds. But the rustling ceased when he hired a Mexican adventurer, El Fuerte to protect his range. Then a prospector was murdered and Cloud learned that El Fuerte had recruited an Army in the hills and was fomenting a revolution.Only a thousand to one chance could stop El Fuerte. Cloud took it though it meant risking everything that he owned and the love of a beautiful woman. An exciting , impassioned novel of the Old Southwest.
