Not quite what I was expecting but a fascinating read nonetheless (cover is rather misleading). Leda and Lillian are twins with very different lives with secrets that eventually are exposed but nothing so convoluted that the reader gets lost. The writing style was so easy, almost like a conversation, and I quickly got sucked into the sisters' lives. I was half afraid that their husbands were going to be real jerks, but they turned out to be gems (if maybe just a little scary) who loved their wives. Along the way, each sister experienced revelations that not only changed their views of their husbands but their marriages and themselves. Each story included intriguing mysteries that didn't overshadow the seductive character studies. Enthusiastically recommended at a solid 4 stars.
