An average BDSM erotica tale. I'm a lukewarm fan of this type of erotica as I don't often come across stories that display a lot of true devotion. The sex is stimulating and the dominance is cool, but I feel the emotional element is missing. Here, there's just not a realistic devotion that this master has for his sub, and it all sounds rather staged. And some nicknames are just plain goofy and distracting no matter how much the author wants you to believe that it's endearing. On another note, as plenty of women are challenged by their self-images, I find it frustrating that when a heroine is described as plump, often times I don't really get a feeling of how plump that is--that would help to relate to the character, I think. It's more like 'I don't like my plump body, but he likes my curves' type of thing. Honestly, can you get any more vague? I give it a lackluster 3 stars.
