The book is a decent historical fiction novel. The author has a similar style to Bernard Cornwell, with break ups in chapters, decent character development, and a bloody battle as the climax. The only problem I had was the speed of the book, it starts out kinda slow and then starts to build up about 125 pages in. On the cover it says its "Action packed... a rousing historical novel brimming with adventure, mystery, and romance.".....uhm...no. Its a book with some action in the beginning to keep you interested, convenient romance in the middle, and alot of action in the end. Not a bad book to read though. So 4 out of 5.
