ROBIN M. (evilauntie) reviewed on + 3 more book reviews
One of Wheatley's later books and by far the funniest. The condensations of Greek mythology alone are worth reading - makes Bulfinch boring. The abrupt cliffhangers every 5-10 pages found in his pre WWII novels have been replaced by a more natural flow of suspense/conflict/resolution.
The hero is a klutz by circumstance. His character arc is the hero's journey. Lots of international intrigue in Cold War era Greece.
