From Booklist
At her mother's deathbed, Cecily Edmonds learns that her whole life, including her name, is a lie. Her father is not her father. Her mother left Corlee Island, off the coast of North Carolina, because she was framed for a theft. Cecily owns a lighthouse on the island, and there's a secret enemy who sought to destroy her parents. Determined to find her roots and the real thief, Cecily moves to Corlee Island and opens a tearoom in her new lighthouse home. Her reception on the island is mixed, but Ryan Anderson, owner of the campground adjacent to the lighthouse property, is vitally interested. At first he wants Cecily's land, but soon he wants her, too. Finding love isn't on Cecily's to-do list, but there's something alluring about Ryan. Poarch presents an unusually large cast of characters in this tale of many secrets. This roller-coaster romance stands on its own, but readers might want to start with Shattered Illusions (2000), the first book in the Corlee Island series. Shelley Mosley
