Poppy Gold, a historic town recreation, is charming, but the romance in this book didn't work for me because I just couldn't like the hero. Usually I love the quiet and brooding type, but Gabe came across as hopeless and misanthropic. Tessa and all her family connections were fun, but I can't believe she fell in love with him.
