I love this book! It is actually kind of a book-looking portfolio, on one side is a pocket with 15 project cards and on the other side is a pocket for a pretty decent spiral bound knitting book that includes the 15 projects on the cards as well as basic knitting instructions. The logic is that once you are comfortable with knitting you won't want to lug the book around with your in progress knitting projects.
There was a good variety of projects (scarves, a bag, socks, etc.) for the beginning to intermediate knitter. I like the clear, color photographs the best because I need to know how the stitches look. There are also several pages of knitting pattern photos.
I'm a beginning knitter but need inspiration and ideas for basic projects - I'm not one for lace or very complicated patterns - so the more colorful and the more modern the book, the better for me!
