Historical M/M Romance with a bit of a ghostly presence. But, you aren't really sure about the ghost till almost the end of the book. HEA and the "mean girl" gets her comeuppance in the end. Totally satisfying ending!
Not a lot of explicit scenes, but there is a rape scene that was disturbing. Mostly this is a character study of the 2 men. They live in a time where being gay can land you in prison, or even the gallows.
