Prince of Wales, later King George III was riding through St James Market when he first saw the love of his life. Hannah Lightfoot was a ravishing beauty but she was poor, a commoner, and a strict Quaker. It seemed impossible that she and the Prince should ever meet. But there were people who could make anything possible for a youth who was to be a king.
