I've read thousands of books, & I rarely put a book down; I usually just slog through it, or maybe speed-read through it, but after 75 pages, I didn't put this book down, I threw it away. The heroine is a snarky self-involved person. The hero is a recovering alcoholic who is suspected of being a serial killer. His teenage daughter, with whom he has a horrible relationship, likes to cut herself with razor blades. And her 'boyfriend' is homeschooled & is being abused by an alcoholic, violent father. Is everyone in this book a damaged, tortured soul? Geeeeeez. Talk about depressing!
I don't need this kind of "entertainment", so thank you very much, I'm outa here.
