One of the best books I've read! It will probably be one that I'll never post on PBS!
The story of Peejoe growing up in Alabama in 1965. His Aunt Lucille murders her redneck husband and heads to Hollywood to become a movie star. At the same time,12 year old Peejoe becomes involved in the civil rights movement when the city of Industry opens it's "white only pool" to blacks.
