An absolutely excellent book. Would that it could be required reading for everyone. Unfortunately, to paraphrase the old saying, "None are so blind as those who will not read anything other than a religious instruction manual or Atlas Shrugged."
Oh, and by the way, this book helped me with something I've long wondered about: How exactly do the Koch brothers pronounce their name? Does it rhyme with "joke"? Or does it rhyme with "botch"? (I was pretty sure it was one way or the other.) Welp, turns out I was wrong on both counts; the correct pronunciation is actually "sy'koh-path'ik greed and ee'vill in-kar'nit"! What a surpise, huh?
So my heartfelt thanks for this book, Ms. Mayer and I hope you keep writing. It's beginning to seem as if a free press--to some who may have forgotten, it's mentioned in that document called the CONSTITUTION? Remember that?--may be the only thing standing between most of us and doom.
Oh, and by the way: the hell with Calvinism.
