I am a huge fan of Carl Weber. His books are always fast-paced and exciting. This novel centers around married couple Egypt and Rashad. The couple has been trying to have a baby, to no avail. This is causing strain and heartache in their marriage. Enter Isis, Egypt's sister and Rashad's ex. Isis moves into Egypt and Rashad's home after a bad break up. Isis has never gotten over Rashad and she's still bitter about her sister's happily ever after with her ex. When Egypt has the idea of having Isis carry her and Rashad's baby (since Egypt has been unable to maintain a pregnancy), Isis uses the opportunity to seduce Rashad and bust up her sister's marriage. I liked this book because of it's fast pace. It was exciting. My only problem with it is that a lot of African American books have sisters that sleep with the same men and are overly competitive. I think this theme is getting a bit old.
