I love this book! It has many recipes with alternate ingredients for those who must omit certain foods from their diets. The selection is diverse, from baked goods to main dishes to condiments to making your own rice milk. Each recipe comes with a set of 4 icons (gluten, dairy, egg, sugar) to help you easily know if it can be made without a specific allergen. For example, there is a gingerbread recipe that needs eggs to work (the egg picture is not crossed out on top). Often there will be additional substitutions at the bottom of the recipe, or the next recipe will be an alternate one, such as gingerbread without eggs. The layout makes finding recipes easy. The appendix/glossary/resource sections are very detailed and helpful in finding the right tools, ingredients, substitutions, techniques, and support.
The only downside I see about this book is the lack of pictures, but those are only the icing on the cake!
