Being a Native American holy place is the only reason the National Park Service has not been able to actually shut down the Medicine Wheel on the crest of Wyoming's Medicine Mountain. Still, people have mysteriously disappeared at the site even though only remnants remain of the centuries old structure. A few tourists, including Bailey Cooper, visit the site.
A strange occurrence happens and soon Bailey finds herself wrapped in a thick fog. Zach Gooden locates an unconscious
Bailey on his ranch. He takes her back to his home where she awakens with three little girls staring at her. Stunned to learn that she has traveled back over a century in time, Bailey begins to fall in love with her rescuer and his three sisters. While Zach struggles with an unknown assailant coveting his land, he too falls in love. Though Bailey wants to stay with Zach and the three hellions, she believes her time is in the future even if her heart remains in 1878.
YESTERDAY AND FOREVER is a pleasant novel that uses Indian mysticism as a chronological device to add time travel elements to a warm western romance. The characters are fun, though Bailey adjusts to the amenities of nineteenth century ranch life too easily. The three sisters live up to their names of Hope, Faith, and Charity even as their jocular actions provide sparks to the tale. By Jove, Vickie Presley scribes a pleasurable, entertaining book that Americana fans will relish.
