I didn't expect to dislike a "how to" book, but I found one. This book is surprisingly condescending and vague. The book uses phrases like, "it should be no surprise" and "obvious" which isn't true to people jumping into anything new with no previous knowledge of the topic. Since saltwater tanks are very specific to your created environment the book is vague and not overly helpful past general specifics.
The author seemingly wants you to feel guilty about taking these fish captive, which he is also, very smugly, helping you take care of. Greg should have written a book about leaving fish alone, since life in the ocean is so easy for these fish. I guess that sounds good until you think about all the predators waiting to chomp those fish in the wild. I think my tank will be acceptable. There are lots of books on aquariums, I would skip this one.
