It is a natural question if a bug would make a good pet for a child. It was great that the author squashed that idea promptly; the assassin bug carries Chagas disease, a severe human malady. One specific photo of the assassin bug killing a smaller prey showed him in action. The various photos showed the vast diversity of assassin bug looks. This is a quick, engaging book.
