This is the second book in the Chicago Rebels hockey series- Isobel and Vadim's story. Although I had a little bit of difficulty with getting into book 1 in the series (due to all of the necessary back-story and some initial irritation with the main characters), I had no such problems here! I literally inhaled this story from start to finish!
First, I really liked both of the main characters, and the chemistry between Bella and Vadim was completely believable (and hot!) The main conflicts of the story were also legitimate and went along with the story, instead of blind-siding the reader. I understood the viewpoints of both characters, and finally! An author who gives us an appropriate amount of angst instead of leaving the reader mired down in an overdone drama.
I enjoyed getting to see Harper and Remy's story continue (from book 1), and I also liked seeing the relationship between the three Chase sisters continuing to develop.
Additionally- bravo to Ms. Meader for working in JUST enough of a sneak peek into the story to have me researching the release date of the next book, and being disappointed that I will have to wait 2 more months for it!
Finally, the ending left me with just enough of an "Awww!" that I closed the book with a smile and a sigh. I loved it!
