This was not one of Grisham's best novels, but it is written in a way that we continue to love Alex Cross. It seems that after 17 book, we'd be bored with Washington, DC crimes, but we have grown attached to Nana Mama, Sampson, and who could forget when little Alex was born. Just a delightful series.

What I liked most about this story is that it added more depth to the inner mind of Alex Cross. While dealing with his family welcoming a new addition, Alex was passionate and expressed the emotions of a normal man.

Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier were great. Grenier's voice was dark and grave when needed and the production was overall excellent.
