I didn't realize "Flight of Dragons" came from a book until I happen chanced upon a comment while looking for the DVD when feeling a little nostalgic. I decided to order a copy of the book and see where it took me.

At first, I was apprehensive that I'd become one of those "I wish I hadnt read the book and/or watched the movie because it does not follow the story plot at all!" but thankfully, as I read this book, I realized how little I remembered of the cartoon movie I had seen some 10 years ago which made letting my imagination reinvent the characters in my minds eye all the easier. I had no reservations about what was or wasn't in the movie because I just couldn't remember. My vaugest memory of the movie was that one dragon had made the other eat rocks... but that wasn't in the book but didn't deter me.

I liked the read. It progressively moved forward and kept me interested and engaged. I finished it in about 3 nights of dedicated reading.
