We hit our PBS Money goal!

Zeb Vance Elementary is a public Pre-K-5 school in Kittrell, NC .   We are a community of leaders committed to individuality and continued student success. We serve students in a rural community with limited resources. 

The student population is 86% at- risk with 100% receiving free lunch. Student's access to reading materials is limited to what the school provides through our school and classroom libraries. Lack of funds has caused our school library to have outdated and worn books.  We are slowly trying to weed out and add to our collection so that our students can benefit from the best possible resources. 

Being a recipient of a PBS donation would give our students the opportunity to grow in their learning and reading.  Many have siblings within the school so they would be able to share and pass along their books.

This will hopefully build a love of literacy within their households and provide the beginnings of a home library.
