Reddick-Collier Elementary school is a small rural school that is categorized as a title I school. 100% of our student population is on free-reduced lunch and 12% of our population is categorized as second language learners. There are 333 students currently enrolled. We strive for excellence with every ONE.

We have a lot of amazing families, but many do not have the resources to provide their children with reading options outside of the school. Our parents and students struggle to have school supplies each year and these are usually donated from generous hearts around our community. We recently put on a school field trip where each class had the opportunity to visit (for some the first time) their public library. This was a huge success in motivating our families to read and work outside the school day with some borrowed resources for free.

Our current goal is to have every child reading at home for at least 30 minutes every day. Our school campaign is “We will improve student achievement through rigorous, purposeful, standards-based instruction while engaging families.”

Thank you in advance for considering Reddick-Collier Elementary School for a book donation, which will support our school and community goals. Your thoughtful contribution will be more than appreciated and we will most certainly help foster the love of others. WE will be sure to “pass it on”. What’s better than sharing the knowledge gained from a book?

Sincerely,
Julie M. Hoffman
