this book got me started on my thesis when i didn't know what to do (and wasn't getting any input in that area from my advisor), and was a comfort when i felt like i couldn't go on.

it would have been helpful to me while writing my candidacy paper, as well as my undergrad thesis and my admissions applications to grad school. in short, any writing project that one can find a way to procrastinate on, will be easier with the skills learned from this book...

This book has many good sense ideas to keep you moving with your dissertation writing.
There are also many mantras to help you cope with the hard times.
I learned that writing about anything, everyday can be very helpful.
One of the best mantras that I repeated to myself during my journey was "How do you call the last PhD after graduation? - A doctor."
