I really did learn quite a few things while reading this book. There are several topics she merely overviews in the book but tells you to head for her website for more reading. I had a good time looking through all the calculators and information on the website, so I was okay with that. I was worried though that it wouldn't work as well for other readers, so I think you should know that you'll have to check out her website to get all the information. I'm interested in the TD Ameritrade offer, but haven't signed up for it quite yet. This is a book I will hold on to because it has some really great information about IRA's, Roth IRA's, and trusts and I will need to review it in the future.

I received this book from my mom when I was 20 and about midway through college. I did not read the book until a few years later when I was about 6 months from graduating college. This book motivated me to be very proactive with my money and manage it to the best of my ability. While I still have not figured it all out and my money managing skills are still evolving, this book provided me with the basics. I highly recommend this book for any young adult that is about to begin managing their own money (i.e. graduating college). Now I did manage my small amount of money in college, but it is a completely different story when you are the one earning all of the money from, what I call, a big girl job and paying all of your bills, including insurance and contributing to retirement.
