Another winner by Penny Vincenzi. I get so caught up in her tales. I can't wait to get home each day and see what befalls the characters next.
Good read, but as always, her plots are very convoluted and it's sometimes hard to keep up with the characters and how they connect to each other. I do like to read books that don't resolve everything in 300 pages, so Vincenzi delivers in this way. If you like long, detailed novels, with multiple plots, Vincenzi is the author for you.
This is a British bestseller. About a fairy tale marriage of an American heiress & a dashing British earl. Twenty years past and the children discover an illusion of perfect happiness. Takes you into the glittering world of affluence & power.
I love all of Penny's books. Her trilogy was my very favorite. Slowed down my reading in the 3rd book. Felt like I was losing my best friends.
Though her books are marvelous, I do think they could be cut back a bit. My only criticism.
I just loaned this book to friend. will probably post it when she is finished with it.
