Alright, so I found this on my bookshelf and decided to give it a try. It looked pretty good.
Basically, it's about Kate Lerner who's ex-husband who disappeared on her 15 years ago without child support or alimony sends her a letter saying he's dying and he has a proposition for her.
I expected so much more from this book. It only starts getting good at page 300 and by good, I mean less like you want to throw it away.
All through the book it's just Kate debating what she wants to do and talking it through with several different people. It's so annoying.
I did not enjoy this book at all. I was skipping and trying to get ahead. It just wasn't good.

Just hit your "Back" button and go find another book.
A weak, victimized, totally dependant female crying and weaping because her teenage son is unhappy with her. So she'll go sleep with her coworker and make happy. Puhlease.
A promising storyline with a protagonist I'd like to toss out a very high window.
